Summer activities

  • Visit summer farms (seters) in the many valeay around Folldal
  • Take the scenic route 27 and see the blue mountains as painted by the famous Harald Sohlberg
  • Visit the national parks Dovre and Rondane
  • Start your hike on the doorstep of the hotel
  • Jutulhogget: a special natural phenomonem
  • Visit Røros and its mining museum
  • Horseback riding (we can even accommodate overnight stay of horses

Winter activities

  • Sleigh riding with horses in Kvebergøya
  • 120 km cross country skiing track, some starting on the doorstep of the Folldal Hotel
  • Ski jumping (Grimsbu) and basic Alpine skiing (Dalholen) only a 20 minutes drive from the hotel
  • Visit several galleries with local arts and crafts
  • Visit Røros in winter, especially during the yearly market in February
